Even if you are a first time visitor to the White Island, Pacha is a unlikely to be a foreign name to you. This legendary club chain made its mark on Ibiza in 1973 and set the standard for every club that would follow. Having had great success with their first club in Sitges (opened in 1967), the Pacha team chose Ibiza for their next big investment and have gone on to open 20 more clubs all over the world.
Although it is renowned as a House music hotspot, Pacha also has an experimental 'global' room, a funk room, a Spanish music room (in the aptly named 'Pachachá') and a chill out terrace. Recent years have also seen the arrival of r'n'b and hip hop in Pacha so there is plenty of choice for you and the 3000 other clubbers. Plus, if you're peckish you can enjoy the club's very own fusion cuisine restaurant.
Pacha Ibiza is also a good choice if you're planning to visit outside of high season as it is the island's only super club to be open all year long.
Located in Ibiza town, the island's first club was not expected to do very well by the locals. Nonetheless, in the three and a half decades which followed its arrival, Ibiza has transformed into a clubber's paradise and one of Europe's most popular holiday destinations. The no-man's land that Pacha opened up in is now surrounded by bars, restaurants, apartment blocks and hotels, including Pacha's own uber-luxurious suites, perfect if you're looking for designer accommodation, a stone's throw from the island's most infamous club (see www.elhotelpacha.com).
